Anaheim is a city in Orange County, California. Covering 50 square miles, the City of Anaheim is one of the nation's premier municipalities and is home to more than 342,000 residents. This vibrant metropolis attracts more than 40 million visitors each year. Anaheim is centrally located in Orange County making it an excellent starting point for all your OC adventures!
It is best known for being the home of Disneyland. Its second claim to fame is hosting the National Hockey League's Anaheim Ducks and Major League Baseball's Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim.

The county's main facility is Orange County/ John Wayne Airport (SNA) and is located at the intersection of I-405 and MacArthur Boulevard. There are bus and shuttle services at the airport to take visitors to their destination.

The closest airport is the John Wayne Airport, Santa Ana (SNA), while the Los Angeles Interantional Airport (LAX) is the largest one in the area.
For those who rent a car or take a taxi, travel time from SNA is about 20-30 minutes, depending on traffic. From LAX, the trip takes about 45-60 minutes, depending on traffic. A taxi from SNA costs about $40; from LAX, about $70.

Super Shuttle
For most people who don't rent a car, shared shuttle van service, like
SuperShuttle, is an economical option. The shuttle will make multiple
stops, but you will be delivered right to the door of your hotel. From
LAX, the cost is about $16 per person one way/$32 per person roundtrip,
plus tip. From SNA, the cost is about $10 per person one way/$20 per person
roundtrip, plus tip.

Anaheim Resort Transit (ART)
Get around Anaheim, the center of Orange County, with ease aboard
one of the convenient ART trolleys, with daily service from Portofino
Inn & Suites to the Disneyland Resort and more. The bright trolleys
run 17 routes every 10-15 minutes from the Hotel to the Anaheim Convention
Center and the Disneyland Resort, as well as The Shops at Anaheim Gardenwalk,
among other popular area destinations.
Amtrak makes daily stops in Orange County at the designated stations. Metrolink is a weekday commuter train that runs to and from Los Angeles and Orange County starting as far south as Oceanside. The Metrolink train service is divided into a dozen zones; the fare you pay depends on how many zones you cover.

Time
Orange County and all of California is in the Pacific Time Zone. The state
observes daylight saving time March through October.
Climate/Attire
Our average daytime temperature is 74 degrees and most days are sunny.
Coastal areas are cooler and the inland areas can be 10 to 15 degrees
warmer depending on the time of year. The coolest time of the year is
December to February and the warmest time is July to October.
Dressing in layers is highly recommended to help stay comfortable from warm afternoons to cooler evenings. Casual sportswear goes right along with our comfortable weather. Jackets and ties are optional even in the most elegant of restaurants.

Alcoholic Beverages/ Liquor Laws
You must be 21 years or older with photo identification to purchase or
consume alcoholic beverages in California. Driving under the influence
of alcohol or drugs is a very serious offense. Alcohol is not permitted
on most Orange County Beach areas including City, County or State Beaches.
Smoking
You must be at least 18 years of age to purchase or use tobacco products.
Throughout California, smoking is prohibited in most public buildings,
all restaurants and many beach areas.
